The data is clear... Hermantown residents oppose the hyper-scale data center Google wants to build in their city. According to poll results released recently by Northern News Now and the University of Wisconsin Superior's Center for Research and Evaluation Services of a survey involving around 1,200 Twin Ports residents: 74% of respondents said they oppose the Hermantown data center. Only 22% of respondents said they support the project. When it comes to those who live within five miles of the proposal, the opposition gets even stronger: 76% of respondents said they oppose the Hermantown data center. Only 21% of respondents said they support the project. Of those living within one mile of the proposal: 84% of respondents said they oppose the Hermantown data center. Only 16% of respondents said they support the project.
