On July 14th, Stop the Hermantown Data Center sponsored an AI data center education and awareness event hosted by comedian Charlie Berens. Charlie has been reporting on AI data center projects across Wisconsin and Minnesota via his YouTube channel.
Speakers at the event were:
- Mary Mack, comedian and writer.
- Rebecca Gilbertson, scientist, educator and Hermantown resident.
- Prescott Balch, Village of Caledonia Board President and a retired technology executive.
- Lori Huntoon, geologist and educator.
- Amanda Mueller of Great Lakes Neighbors United, a Port Washington resident and retired engineer.
- Alex Morrisseau, an environmental advocate, student, and lifelong water protector.
